About Woodridge Deck & Gazebo Co.
Built on Hard Work. Built to Last.
Eric Hoffman didn’t plan to make a career out of building decks. Fresh out of high school, he took a labor job because he wanted to earn more than minimum wage and liked working outside. He paid attention. He learned fast. By his second summer, he was running a crew and getting paid by the job.
He went on to study sports medicine in college, then spent two years at Abbott Labs in research and development. But when the contractor he’d built decks for asked him to come back and run the business with an ownership stake at the end of four years, Eric took the opportunity. He managed that operation through 1995 and 1996, and when it became clear things weren’t headed in the right direction, he made a decision. He walked away and started his own company.
In 1997, Woodridge Deck & Gazebo Co. opened for business.
A Family Business
What started as a one-man operation has grown into a family-run company. Today, Eric works alongside his brother and two sons, bringing that same hands-on, get-it-right approach to every project they take on. This isn’t a company where the owner is behind the scenes. The Hoffman family is on the job.

What Sets Us Apart
Nearly three decades of building outdoor spaces teaches you a few things. Eric puts it simply: “I’ve seen it all. I can come up with a solution to any problem.” That experience, combined with certified carpenters and the best materials available, means customers get a finished product that holds up.
Woodridge is a TimberTech Platinum contractor and a Deckorators Certified Elite installer, two of the highest designations in the industry. The materials we specify perform. TimberTech cellular PVC carries a limited lifetime performance warranty, with 50-year stain and fade protection. We back our own work with a 10-year structural guarantee and a 3-year workmanship warranty.

Community
Eric and the Woodridge team stay active in the local community through charity work with area churches. Giving back is part of how they operate, both on and off the job site.
The team also stays competitive outside of work. Eric fishes in bass tournaments, plays golf and softball, and stays active in the gym. The same drive that built this business doesn’t stop when the hammers stop.
Our Foundation
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23
