What types of Wood decking are available?
A Wood Deck is made using Pressure Treated, Cedar, Redwoods, or Tropical Hardwoods.
Micronized Treated lumber is made by pressurizing chemicals (copper in solid, "sub-micron" sized particles) into wood (usually pine) which bond to the wood's fibers. This produces material that does not corrode fasteners and leaves wood a clearer color. It is approved for full exposure to above ground, ground, and freshwater contact.

Cedar and redwood have a warm glowing appearance with decorative straight grains. They contain natural chemicals that are resistant to insects and decay. Unlike treated lumber, these chemicals will wash out of the wood over an extended period of time.

Tropical Hardwood have a natural beauty that ages gracefully. The tight grain patterns on decking such as Ipe, make it nearly impervious to water. You have a choice of sealing or allowing it weather naturally.
